Blog Post Writing

Nothing screams “unprofessional” louder than a website without a blog, a fact of which most business-owners are only too aware. Blog posts have been known to keep their authors up at night, attacking the pie in the fridge at midnight, while they wait for the muse to strike. It doesn’t have to be this way. Yes, keeping your blog updated is important. Yes, your blog has the potential to reach out to new customers and start a conversation with them. But, you don’t have to be the one who writes it! In fact, it’s better if you’re not. You’re too close to the action and far too likely to come up with prose that’s offputtingly salesy. After all, you’re not writing this blog out of the goodness of your heart! You want it to sell!

Enter the professional, who tones it down, takes a step back and speaks to your customers in a way that engages them. This new voice is informed and authoritative, clearly an expert in it’s field, but without sales obviously on the agenda. Your customers are intrigued and they want to read on. They’re far keener to discover the solutions to their problems, than receive hard data about the products being sold.

Your blog, in the right hands, is an essential marketing tool. Don’t underestimate it’s power. It can bring you a lot of business. Call or email me to find out what sort of direction your blog should be taking…
